Most vegetarian dishes are too oily or fried.. Unfortunately if you really want to eat vegetarian and keep it healthy you have to stick to eating raw or salads with minimal dressing. Falafels are good but theyre fried and they come with garlic aioli (the secret ingredient).

The other vegetarian dishes that dont fit into that cepategory are boring or require a lot of prep time. So i can see why a lot of vegetarians dont venture too far with their recipes.

Sorry but your anti fat shtick is totally devoid of facts. Dr Atkins and others blew the lid off of this thinking decades ago.

American cuisine isn't really made to cater to vegetarians like Asian and Indian food is. Fried starches are common in American cuisine but almost always as a side dish.

It is not just that the American cuisine is bad, there just isn't much variety to it. Fried potatoes for example.

I think Nuem is kinda right. The sort of people who become vegetarians in the U.S. are often flagellants. Food tasting bad is sorta part of the deal for them.

In the old days they would have slept on rocks wearing hair shirts until they got bored of it.
