Boggle my mind. I took a coworker out for falafel the other day and she was like "omg I've been a vegetarian all my life and never tasted something so tasty!" and I was like " ."

In fact this seems to be a pattern in my life. Whenever I cook for vegetarians (or take them out somewhere) they always say it's the best vegetarian food they've ever had. I am a good cook but not THAT good a cook. I think there is something about vegetarian people that makes them prone to eating bad food even within their own dietary restrictions.

It's psychological. Their vegetarianism is a way to punish themselves.

If their stupidity didn't shelter them from the full shame of their actions, their would be alot more republican suicides.

Falafels can be very delicious. They are made from chickpea paste that you can make into patties. Usually put into a pita pocket with avacados, lettuce, tomatoes... and the trick is to have a tasty sauce which is the hard part.

Best friend is a vegan, and she always eats the exact same thing...day after day, so when I cook for her she is always excited. It's not because I'm a great cook, it's because she is such a bad one.

When I was a vegetarian, it was simply because I had constant access to great food. I stopped when I started traveling again because it was generally impossible to travel and eat good vegetarian dishes.

The human body is the most fantastic mechanism ever devised. It digests meat just fine so there is no reason to fear it or avoid it.

Eat sensibly in moderation and watch it go!

Most vegetarian dishes are too oily or fried.. Unfortunately if you really want to eat vegetarian and keep it healthy you have to stick to eating raw or salads with minimal dressing.

Falafels are good but theyre fried and they come with garlic aioli (the secret ingredient).

The other vegetarian dishes that dont fit into that cepategory are boring or require a lot of prep time.

So i can see why a lot of vegetarians dont venture too far with their recipes.

You know, if I didn't know what falafel was I probably wouldn't have taken my coworker to go eat it.

But thank you google.

Also found this comment rather odd.

Especially since falafal should only be served with humus...
