Wiki shut down completely, Craigslist as well.

I was discussing the ramifications if Google had done the same.

I noticed one of the skyrim wiki sites is down. I had to use the nearly indistinguishable second site. Fkin sopa

So far, every site I'm aware of that is 'down' is privately owned.

All the publicly owned sites are showing sympathy with the cause as best they can without interrupting service (and angering stockholders.)

It's not so much an ideology thing as it is a business thing. Those that own their sites can do what they want them. Those who don't are restricted. But all are showing support in one way or another.
