"For many months, the GEO600 team-members had been scratching their heads over inexplicable noise that is plaguing their giant detector. Then, out of the blue, a researcher approached them with an explanation. In fact, he had even predicted the noise before he knew they were detecting it. According to Craig Hogan, a physicist at the Fermilab particle physics lab in Batavia, Illinois, GEO600 has stumbled upon the fundamental limit of space-time - the point where space-time stops behaving like the smooth continuum Einstein described and instead dissolves into "grains", just as a newspaper photograph dissolves into dots as you zoom in. "It looks like GEO600 is being buffeted by the microscopic quantum convulsions of space-time," says Hogan."

The holographic model of the mind makes sense to me.

Please note in the 1990's I did my graduate fine art exhibition after I spent two years building a holographic lab-studio The Photon Cantina. I was personally taught holography by Fred Unterseher. My artwork is hanging in Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Trappist monastery cloister. Eventually I let my partners at The Photon Cantina have everything. we had a difference of opinion over aesthetic directions. I wanted to make nude holographic mermaids and embed them in surfboards to keep surfers company. My partners wanted to make holograms of little figures to decorate model railroad landscapes. My two partners were engineers.

Don't think of it as a hologram. Think of it as the foam (quantum foam) that ties the multi-verse together.

The noise that GEO600 was detecting at that time turned out to just be a tuning problem with the detector, and the frequencies the noise was observed at wasn't correct for it to be holographic noise anyways.

Where does it say that?

Note that even though this article is dated before the Huffington Post article, it is simply because the Huffington Post article was written several months after the first noise reports and apparently didn't bother to go look to see if there were any updates about the noise.

It's interesting that you can just add the word "quantum" in front of any other word and use it as an explanation of the universe.

So, quantum vagina.

Oddly, quantum isn't very useful for explaining cosmology. The properties of the very small and the very large don't play nice with each other. Practically drove Einstein nuts.
