That's just silly. Name one library ever in the history of the planet that didn't censor?

They stock some books, they don't stock others. Someone chooses and that is censorship.

It's never been any different anywhere ever.

Even though I can see where the ALCU is coming from, but seriously? If they win it won't be absolutely horrible. There premsis is that a public library should not have the power to filter content. If someone shows something and it offends someone else that is when the law should come into play. We already have sexual harassment laws to protect people against chronic public masturbaters and people showing porn to kids

But that's just playing devil's advocate. I don't really care about losing this "liberty" like most of society even though homeless masturbaters are absolutely furious

This isn't about what should be banned. It's about what should be unbannable.

Lots of things should be unbannable. Pron is not one of them.

If a community chooses to allow pron on their library computers then that's fine. But if they choose not to, that's okay too.

Not every community has to be exactly the same.
