You see, "Buck," defense spending is discretionary, while much of the other spending requires legislation in order to cut it.

I'm really surprised I need to tell this to a legislator, "Buck," especially one who chairs a committee like the one you're on. I mean, I assume that when they appoint you guys to the position of committee chair that a prerequisite would be a base level of understand of how Congress works and what the job entails. I guess that's what I get for assuming.

By the way, how are Roy Clark and the Buckaroos?
