My monitor just took a crap on me and I was looking at a ASUS VE278Q 27" monitor, I usually buy Samsung but the Asus looks real nice. Also what are peoples opinions on backlighting?

Buy Alienware and never look back.. without a doubt the best PC screens I have ever bought.

I hate the gay geek alien logo tho, kinda worried that people might put that and my extensive fantasy collection together and realize that I'm a freaking nerd

Or just buy a samsung led slap it to your wall and use it as your PC screen, works too.

I've got a 24" ASUS monitor, no complaints. It works great, and the picture is really nice also.

I have two widescreen Asus' - a 19" (5 years old) and a 22" (3 years old) that have worked flawlessly.

Buy from someone/place reputable and get the warranty to cover 3 years minimum and you are laughing.

Burned through about 4 of them in 1 year (all under warranty) but, just a ton of overheating issues.

meff! I bought mine on the advice of a friend whose real tech geek..

Had it for maybe 6 months, bought it because it's something that it could handle a higher FPS then most screens.

Well I'll know if it dies out on me not to buy another one.
