fixed it the temp issue two of the mounting posts that hold the water cooler bloc on where loose.

put new silver heat paste on re-tightened the posts and now I am at 40-45c roughly.

holy crap, you're gonna burn that thing up at 80, i have a 2500k+ at 4.3 on air running at 33 idle and 52 full load.

the intel i5/i7 processors are designed to operate well up to 100 degrees C.

true story.


the only issue is whether or not the rest of your components can handle something that hot nearby.

hmm... just beacuse they can tolerate those temps, does not imply that there were made to run at that temp all the time. but you know this.

4.2 on a I5 750 for almost 3 years now
and why is your heat so high you are going to melt your cpu its not suppose to get past 70c
