First brew day of the year a nice American Wheat. The weather is awesome and the dog and I are chilling on the deck. I'm using my new Blichmann for the first time and am brewing all grain for the first time. I'll be using the BIAB (Brew in a Bag) method for those curious. Taking the time while the water heats up to clean the garage a bit and putter around the house. Later today I might even toss something on the grill... A nice lazy Saturday, yay.

Missed my marks and made some rookie mistakes but it's still within tolerances. It is kind of fun being a newb again as all grain and BIAB are both totally different experiences for me.

Foxy all I got is some frozen chicken but it is so damn nice out I think I'll toss a couple breasts on the grill and put them over brown rice. Sadly my last keg kicked last night so I am drinking commercial beer right now. That is the only downside to today, lol. Getting the pipeline back up to speed now though so that shouldn't happen again.

Oh and Sneezy... that is what you get for living in an igloo with seals and stuff.

beer smith is a great program if you dont have it for brewing. helps with calculations.

you don't have a sprage/mash container yet?

i started brewing last year. i first started with half grain/malt extract. after that i moved right into all grain.

like they say, brewing is 70% being clean.

imo you cant make a bad batch of beer if you are clean and starle

We brewed a clone of a beer called Skullsplitter a few months back. Unfortunately - it still needs more bottle conditioning.

BIAB is a no sparge, single pot, all grain method. I am going to get to know this method and stream line it to suit me then, if it isn't working for me, I'll change to classic all grain brewing. People are having great results with it though so if it works for me I won't bother will all the added equipment for a classic all grain setup.
