I usually putz around the house in pajama pants and a hoodie at night. Whenever I decide to go to bed, I tell the dog lets go outside. I just step out knowing I'll only be there for a minute or so. He trots to the grass, pees, smells around, walks up the driveway, stops and stares down the street, then smells his way back to the door. NO IDEA why he wants to spend all that time smelling and looking around when it's freezing out but hey, not gonna stop him either.

the small dog is walking around the house howling at me to let him in.  i wonder if it's too cold in that room already for them. *sigh* i have the heater on too.

that little asshole. i went into the room with some of the pee pads i remembered we had and it was completely warmer than my room cuz i left the little heater on. i wasn't planning on leaving it on, just until i went to bed. but i closed the door anyway cuz i knew he would be too cold and the big dog will NOT share body heat with him. (big dog has a thick coat and has no problem with cold weather.)

It was weird for me the first time it dipped to 32 degrees when I first moved to L.A. Coming from Hawaii, I'd been trying to ease into my first winter, but till then it was mild, and I love the cold. Then i went out to my car to go to work and the moisture on my car that built up over night was FROZEN. Weirdest damn thing I'd seen, and it was FREEZING. It was also unusual as I lived in the San Fernando Valley, and that wasn't a common thing.
Now a days, being blasted by the desert summer from may to october, I welcome temps in the low 30's with open arms.
