Is there anything you would change?
Personally, I'd limit campaigns to three months before the election, with absolutely no ads allowed prior to that point. This crap of campaigning for YEARS for a position that only lasts 4 years is stupid and it needs to end.
I'd also make it so any and all contributions or aid to someone in or applying for a public position be 100% disclosed to the public. Donate as much as you want and as often as you want, but you can't hide that you gave it or that they received it.
All income made by someone in an full-time, elected position should be public knowledge. If you're out promoting your book deal instead of performing your job, we should know.

I would say no campaign contributions are allowed by anyone, ever. All campaigns are financed by the public. Everyone who gets a required number of signatures gets a pro-rata share of the pool regardless of political party. The night before I impliment my plan, I suddenly die of a heroin overdose, while everyone who knows me is puzzled as to why I suddenly tried heroin.

I agree with this, except no public contributions either. You'd find out in a hurry who's out to help the country and whos out to help themselves if they could only spend their own money.

No, what you'd end up with is only rich people running for office.

Agreed.
IMO Campaign contributions should go into a general fund which is split equally between candidates of all parties. None of this "oh I'm contributing to this person and this person only" or "this party only".

This is already the case.

Robo calls should be outlawed. Any politician caught breaking that rule is publicly burned at the stake.

You are apparently unaware of how PACs work.

That would eliminate most corporate contributions, which is fine by me. I still feel that FULL disclosure would be a requirement though (for elected officials).
