Interesting- I got two crowns last month (getting the crowns on was worse than the double root canals, wtf) and they don't feel any different than the rest of my teeth.

Good for you, I too always went through a bit of an adjustment period with new crowns or a bridge. It is like something foreign in your mouth.
 But it does fade over time and now I do not even notice them.
