So got my permanent crown yesterday.

I CANT STOP PLAYING WITH IT. It's so smooth and out of place, I have been messing with it with my tongue ALL DAY.
Anyone with crowns have the same problem? How long with you just get used to it?

i have that problem with the rougher edges of my jaw splint i wear at night.

I have a broken tooth in the front of my mouth I tongue constantly during the day. Sometimes I cut things with it cause it is really sharp.
You'll eventually get used to the sensation i'm sure

Yah. I've had a porcelain crown on one of my canines for about 3/4 of a year now. It still feels odd.

I still play with a spot of glue on the back of one of my canine teeth that was left over from my permanent retainer that was less than permanent.
it's been 25 years or so.

I'm the opposite...When biting down, I'm good.
When I mess with it, it's way smoother than any of my molars...it just feels....weird.

I would say 2-3 weeks and you will not even notice it anymore, month max. But you are probably more used to strange things in your mouth so it may be sooner for you.
