Would it be faster to just transfer to an internal, then internal to the other external?

Well, right now it's dipping to 1mb/s. That's ridiculously slow... for 300gb of data.

Sounds like he is backing up information from one external drive to another. Not sure if it would be quicker or not. You could always try and see.

If you are on USB, yes it will probably be slow as molasses.

internal to internal would be faster because it would be transferred through SATA and not crappy USB 2.0 interfaces
