Seriously. Why do we need to bring kids to brick buildings where they are forced to mingle with hordes of stupid people? So they can learn where to buy pot?
They could just run real time video conferences where thousands of kids could watch lectures from the best teachers in the nation, and even pause for questions and tabulate the best questions so the brilliant teacher can answer them. Do we really need an army of teachers, buses and drivers, janitors, administrators, and millions of acres of real estate, just so we can limit classroom sizes? The real dummies can go watch their classes in a public tutoring session if they need help I guess, but most would not need that. WTF man we're in the internets age, why are we only using it for delivering porn to the schools?

once true broadband is truly affordable (100MBps at less than $40/mo) and is seriously widely available, i think that schools WILL do just that...

Yah like true 4G not that crap they're peddling as 4G now. Wouldn't even need wires. Just issue a portable school device so you can watch classes while you sell some meth on the corner.
