85 or 125 year-olds are significantly less able to dig themselves out of debt situations.

When you give money, you stand a chance of losing it all if they can not repay. This is why Debt Collectors can all kiss my ass and the "you should always pay your debt" people are losers that need a bullet in the head.

Interest rates are there in part to reflect the risk of non-repayment of loans. If you don't like that, then raise your interest rates or GTFO the lending business.

Don't lend it out to dead beats and you wont have a problem.
This is why the Criminal Code also doesn't put people in jail for not repaying debt unless they were fraudulent.
