I like the idea of renewable energy sources, but solar is the one that bugs me. Can you generate enough energy from a solar panel to build another solar panel before the components burn out?

Yes. You'll probably find a lot of misinformation on the subject though. Also, solar energy doesn't have to mean solar panels just fyi.

You're probably right. All those people who spent all that time developing solar energy forgot to figure out cost of production and expected life of solar panels. JD_HOGG should patent the idea. He'll be as rich as Al Gore!
