Just got quoted $1100-1500 for the throwout bearing. 1500 if they need to put in a new clutch as well.
Repairs are depressing. 6 hours labor just putting the )(*@)#*@ thing in and out.  Gee, I can't wait till Friday/Saturday when I get to pick it up after hurting the old bank account.

It's a 2001 Civic, so not a hell of a lot. It's not like I can afford another car, though. Or have the credit for a newer one. This one has to last me at least another 5 years till I graduate and get a real job.
EDIT: I looked it up, about $4k Canadian.

1500 would be for new bearing and clutch. Yeah, I looked around at a bunch of places, and they say the expensive part is labor, pulling it all out, taking it apart and putting it back in runs ~6 hours labor. At an average $70/hr labor... Then add parts.
Cracka, dealerships are for stupid rich people. No way I'd take my car there.
