Yeah. That looks pretty dumb. I can see someone actually trying to use it though and pulling their truck apart.

I'm willing to bet that bar shackle will easily hold 30,000 lbs or more.

Probably. But it's like using 50# test fishing line to catch crappie.

Totally agree! I'm not justifying it, just commenting.

I was actually amazed at how much weight even those tiny little bar shackles that some people use for paracord bracelets will hold before breaking. One of the little 4mm diameter bar shackles will hold up to 2k lbs if I recall correctly.
