Thanks for setting us straight about only ordering ice cream at the counter...we will NEVER EVER order ice cream at your tables again, we'll do you that favor and just order at the counter from now on. I'm not sure if she got the lesson though, she just said hey thanks! and put the money in her pocket. I feel so stupid.

Well what I thought was she'd learn her lesson because she could have gotten that fat tip every time I showed up and ordered ice cream at the table, but instead I will be ordering at the counter and no tip at all! It made perfect sense at the time.

In that sort of case, I would have waited for the ice cream to arrive... send it back, then complain to the manager about the server as you angrily left the establishment.
