Last night a group of four people and I went into a "restaurant" which is really just an ice cream place across the street from the beach. And they also serves food, yeah. Nothing I would eat. So, we sat down and ordered ice cream things after having dinner across street at a real restaurant. So, here's the story. The "waitress" took the orders, and then proceeded to give us a good bitching about us ordering only ice cream. She said that normally when ordering ice cream, we need to go up to the counter and order it, and bring it over to a table if we want to sit down, but since it was not busy at that particular moment, she would grace us with bringing us ice cream. She meant business. I think she thought she was not going to get a tip or something, but then I think she realized it was a douche move to bitch at us, not like there was a sign that said ONLY ORDER ICE CREAM AT COUNTER!!!
She needed to be taught a lesson. What non-violent thing would ACF have done in this teachable moment?

Instead of stiffing her, I handed her the cash to pay the bill, plus a $20 tip and said hey, this is for you. Thanks for setting us straight about only ordering ice cream at the counter...we will NEVER EVER order ice cream at your tables again, we'll do you that favor and just order at the counter from now on. I'm not sure if she got the lesson though, she just said hey thanks! and put the money in her pocket. I feel so stupid.
