She was closing manager at a restaurant. She also has RA. The owner always knew this and always knew she didn't want to work 12-13 hours a shift. Also knew she wanted Fri-Sat off to take her weekly medicine. And the guy is an asshole to employees on a somewhat rotating basis. I think it's how he unstresses. If he makes someone cry or fires someone he's happy for a couple of days and doesn't pick on anyone.

So his wife has him buying a 600k house for her now and he's very stressed. He's been riding people hard too. And my wife hours had been slowly creeping up. He scheduled her last Friday (her day off) for 13 hours. She was already pissed. Then he started harassing her. I had told her if she needed to just quit and come home. He started in on her and when she hit that point she just took the keys out, handed them to him, and politely told him she was done. As she went to go get her stuff and leave he was right on her ass trying to get her to stay. Other people there told my wife he was pretty red faced the rest of the night.

Last night he called and told her he had his ass kissing boots on and wanted her to come back. She could have anything she wanted, just come back. She told him she would come talk to him at 9 when they closed the doors. I'm sure she's back to work again.

She might be better off just staying away from him. Types like that don't always handle humiliation well.

Actually he handles it surprisingly well. I didn't think he would either. He is pretty unique. He goes on like this with people and 10 minutes later he's like it never happened. Sadly, it's not the same for the subject or the observers. She's worked the 7 years and has not dealt with his asshattiness behavior past the first 6 months. Out youngest also works there and is immune to it. She works with his wife and is her favorite so she's hands off to him and he respects that for some odd reason.

Nope, neither one of those. He can fire someone then hire them back after a few months. He does that a lot. Sometimes fires them 2 or 3 times. He also has a soft heart for druggies as he used to be one.

hmm, I dunno. Don't know if she got a raise yet, and she wasn't planning to ask for one either.

I just woke her. She's back to work now on the hours she wants. He told her when he starts getting out of line she's to kick him in the ass. He knows she truly cares about the store, the employees, and the customers. She works the staff harder than the other managers but they like her better. She doesn't play games with them and she is willing to help them where she sees help is needed.
