Peel the bottoms of the asparagus stalks with a peeler, then snap them off like a flower. Cut stalks into 2 inch pieces.
Throw stalks into a pan with half a cup of boiling water and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
Squeeze half a lemon, and throw in a couple tablespoons of butter and a drizzle of good olive oil.
Bring everything to a roiling boil and then serve.
Tastes amazing
