Why are cops always trying to scare you
|
Approaching end of a side street to an intersection of a main road. Cop is turning right, down onto said side street, I'm turning right off of side street onto main road.
Cop flips a bitch, gets close to my bumper.
Cop turns right with me, follows me for a good 200 feet, then makes an illegal u-turn and continues back down the street he came from, wtf.

I'm sure that it varies by state... but generally U-turns, if performed in a safe manner, are completely legal unless it's on the interstate.

Running your plates. A lot of times they'll pull you over just to see if you've got warrants or are ridin dirty.

Take note of the Squad car number, call the police dept and file a complaint. What you describes falls under entrapment, also they are required to follow all traffic laws. Secondly, not sure about your state but in PA if a cop does that he is REQUIRED to pull you over and issue you a citation. Failure to do so could end in suspension or worse (meter maid or crossing guard duty)

cops on a whole are ego driven assholes who can not solve 2 simple break ins to my home in a 3 year period
yet they are the cat's meow.. and they want you to know it

Has happened to me many times but it is usually on the freeway. They come swerving across multiple lanes and ride my bumper so close it is beyond dangerous. Of course they usually pull me over... eventually.
I had so many speeding tickets for a while I was afraid they might pull my license. I haven't had any tickets at all since I got my prius.

Or...
Pris drives a car similar to one that they were looking for.
Flip around, check plates, go back the other way(and as I said before... depending on the state u-turns are not always illegal).
And in PA an officer is required to pull you over if he does what? Gets close and checks your plates?
What kind of stupid law is that?
