Seems everything on prime is slowly going up in price in comparison to others. Seems to be at least $5 more on most things.
So you pay $80 a year to get "free" 2 day shipping, but then they just fold in part of the shipping into the price.
Maybe all the other products you get with prime are changing this.

I dunno, my first year was on the free student prime, then I subscribed after that to keep the free 2 day shipping for textbooks, and I buy a lot of stuff on amazon as well.
