Well it's only for a standardized test, thankfully. Granted you'd think science tests would like to use a word like dinosaur... but I can see their motive of banning it because some kids might feel uncomfortable with certain words on that list (cancer, divorce etc for example). Making sure it is completely unbiased and un-offending is the entire purpose of having it standardized

after reading other google links, based on their justifications they should probably remove NEW from New York. New might hurt the feelings of some kids that never get anything new.
