Well it makes sense looking at Earth history, English had many differences in the middle ages.

it's not even pronounced the same, it's a completely different word, different meaning.

that's because Webster dictionary wasn't made then. The founding fathers also appear to have spelled a lot of words wrong but it wasn't the case the words didn't have an official spelling until Webster dictionary was published.

Languages grow and change even now, with dictionaries.

If dictionaries had been strictly followed, then the past still would not have had modern English. Rather modern English would be closer to past English.

If that's all you find strange in those books I'll be surprised. I found Martins incessant ramblings about what food they were all eating to be extremely disturbing. That dude loves to write about food. I'll be impressed though if he lives long enough to finish the series. He's got two more books to go which will take him another 12 years or so to write at the pace he's been going. He's definitely on my bucket list.

we can only hope if he does go he has another writer finish his story.

Any questions you have of this series can be answered by mentally picturing a slightly sweating George R.R. Martin sitting in front of his computer wearing only a soiled pair of tighty-whities and chewing thoughtfully on a pen. Occasionally he lifts his left ass cheek off the chair and farts, then inhales deeply.

EDIT: I've added a photo to help your creative juices flow more easily.

I lol'd. Kinda grossed out too

Me too.

Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, 'Where have I gone wrong?' Then a voice says to me, 'This is going to take more than one night.'
Elitist.
