Part of the problem is all the ginormous mounts that people are using, too. All it takes is four or five people just near the guy, and as long as they are on a big drake of some sort, the whole area is pretty well blocked up.
Do your part to help your community this week - fly a gryphon (or similarly small mount)

I used this about 20 times in the two hours of Cata I have played so far heh. Totally necessary.
