Hey Yoss, Stanza won't open most of my ebooks, and most of the ones it does come up as gibberish. Is this DRM, or am I doing something wrong? (which is a very good possibility)

I have to assume it is the DRM.
I use Stanza to open ebooks in multiple formats, word documents, PDFs, microsoft lit files, etc. I haven't found anything it couldn't open.
I don't really know anything about DRM, I haven't tried to open anything I bought from them I've only used it on other files.
