Before I say anything else, yes. The books are bad.
That being said, I bought and read the fourth one as well. Against my better judgement. The best thing I have to say about it is that it was a pretty fast read.
It's just bad. :/
I like to refer to the Eragon series as "Twilight for boys"....

I figure I'll pick up the 4th book in December because I feel obligated to complete the series.... I don't take pride in it, however.
I just picked up the book and I plan on starting it tomorrow. From the sound of it, I won't expect alot, therefore I won't be too disappointed.

This is how I go into most books. Apparently it lets me enjoy books that other people feel are awful. Maybe their expectations were just too high? LOL
