Feeling Obligated

Took down my hummingbird feeder and I noticed it went down really quickly and was nearly empty. Saw some hummingbirds checking out the area today. I wonder if me keeping it up so long kept them from migrating south?
Even though its starting to freeze I put it out again

No Bonk, they are pretty much year round. Just make sure you clean it often...but I have heard they won't drink spoiled solution anyway.

An old girlfriend and I used to stand still and put our finger over the peg that the hummingbirds land on to drink.
You should try it.
Was kind of a cool thing.

They come right up to you here. Mostly to make sure you're not a giant hummingbird trying to steal their food. The are highly territorial. One will usually stake out each feeder...and dive bomb anything that gets close to it.
