Rick Perry uses terms like "pig in a poke." He has almost no command of the language. This is why he does so poorly in debates. Talk about all hat and no cattle. Since when did you ever buy pig meat in a bag ( a pig in a poke)?

The left unloaded in their pants for "hope and change" and got Bush's 3rd term.
Voting records are the one and only way to chart where a politician is going, and if he should get your vote.

Of all of the people on this board, I least expected you Modeeb to discount the use of language intentionally based on target audience appeal. This is not to say that I support Perry, but his base expects and is enamored of him using phrases like "pig in a poke".

Yes, sometimes I use specialized vocabulary. I often put links to definitions in my posts. You can increase your vocabulary. These words mean a lot to me and often say what I mean. However, in writing poetry, I have learned to make things more concrete. It is difficult to speak about metaphysics in ordinary language. But, in the end it is more meaningful to me.
