ive seen people drop cash standing in line at the grocery store and hoped nobody spotted it before i go there.

as a side note, i would expect nothing less from anyone who sees me drop cash on the ground.
i would just assume i spent it in a bar anyway and not even think twice about missing money

If you see a person drop their money right in front of you then you just tell them about it.. Common sense. I wouldnt expect anyone to come search for me if i lost cash.
And you cant give it to an attendant or worker with the hope theyll give it to the rightful owner - the worker will pocket it.
