We use them at work 99% of the time and I like them better than all of the other normal carriers.

It used to suck but their new seating system makes them the best. Cheap, no extra fees and their employees are not miserable. Need to change a flight? Pay the difference in airfare.

I think i have to fly united or some crap for work.

Southwest is my favorite national airline for personal travel.

For international, austrian airlines is my favorite. Amazing customer service and nice seating.

Any non US airline is nice.

Unless it's some small local interior airline in Taiwan or South America. Then it's just scary.

JetBlue >>> Southwest, or any other airline for that matter.

Southwest is for n00bs. The first and last time I flew SW the attendant did a very lame rendition of "She'll be comin' round the mountain when she comes". Not to mention their seats are very cramped and uncomfortable.

JetBlue doesn't need some wannabe rapper who shouldn't quit his day job. Every single seat on JetBlue has:

* Large, new leather seats like a lazyboy recliner
* 40+ satellite TV channels
* Satellite radio with 50+ channels covering any flavor of music you like, commercial-free

That's better than first class on any other major airline.

I have to fly on a small local airline in South America next month. It's a mix between looking forward to it and being a little apprehensive about it. Oh well. Just as long as I don't end up on an episode of "Locked up Abroad" or something.

As soon as I can fly it as easily and my company will pay for it, sign me up. Until then I will stick with South West.

When I do business traveling, it is billable consulting work for large corporate clients. All of my travel expenses are billed to the client, including flight, hotel, rental car/taxi, parking fees, meals, incidentals, etc. I can pick any hotel, airline, or car rental vendor I want; as long as the average travel expenses for the trip do not exceed $1K per day.

Airfare fees are not the largest factor in my travel expenses. If anything, the largest factor is the hotel rate, which averages $300 per night or more in downtown areas of large cities. Second is dining out, which can easily approach $100 per person in an area like downtown Boston. Airfare is 3rd, since it is a one-time round-trip cost. Compared to the hotel rates, the difference between JetBlue and other airlines is very small ($250 total Southwest airfare might be $350 JetBlue for the same trip).

Needless to say, I fly JetBlue whenever and wherever I can.
