Total # of People detained when it opened: 779

Percentage of Gitmo prisoners who were never Al Queda Fighters: 92%

Number of men still there that have been cleared for release: 89
Cost per year to imprison those people: 70 Million

Youngest prisoner: 13
Oldest Prisoner: 98
Number of Children imprisoned at gitmo: 21

Number of Gitmo prisoners charged with 9\11 related offenses: 5
Number of those prisoners that have been to trial: 0
(for contrast) Number of federal trials on terrorism: 400

Number of FBI agents that have reported abuses at Gitmo: 200
Number of Military Prosecutors that have resigned or requested reassaignment since 2008 because they believed the trials may be unjust: 7

Thanks to Congress, there is no President that can close the place down, unless they can figure out a way to do so with spending $0 (noting that it is illegal to do work for the feds for free) and not transferring the people held there anywhere.

I thought about it when taking a dump a moment ago, and it came to me bright as day. First he would abolish the Fed, crash economy, then abolish the dollar itself and replace it with gold and silver nuggets and then spend 0 $ but instead 5g 9s on closing that place down. No more Dollar, no more Dollar spent on that item
