yeah...it isn't dead....the MPAA/RIAA monster will never stop until it has a stranglehold on the web or they die


they will just try a different tactic...assuming voters don't make a stand this coming election and vote all the sponsors of the bills out of office who are up for reelection to send a clear message to not fuck with the interwebs

I never said that, I'm talking about the lobby of the entertainment industry and it's not small fries we're talking about.. They're even here influencing our more retarded politicians to enact legislation that would more or less give the state the right to sift through all the traffic in Sweden, which is a gross violation of privacy and personal integrity.

I'm happy you have wiki and a lot of corporations that work actively for your freedoms, but in Sweden we're pretty outnumbered and outgunned by the lobby of Hollywood and the music industry.

I'm seeing some really repressive legislation to fall in the future, and the funny thing is that it's right wing politicians that are enacting it and the social democrats and the left basically don't care.
