It's like SWTOR but with proper space combat, nonhuman races and no ability delay.
Only true minus is that they tend to release ridiculously OP ships on their cash shop, wait till everyone's bought it and then announce "We do listen to our players, therefore the ship you all complained for months about and yet bought, will be nerfed!" and then nerf the ship to oblivion, wait few weeks and then launch even more ridiculously OP ship than the one before.

I updated it and played it for a few minutes last week. Of course they changed the entire tech tree, so you have to respec before you really do anything, and since nobody plays STO anymore I couldn't find a lot of information on what techs are important now. It is way better than it was at launch. I know they revamped ground combat, too, but I didn't get a chance to see if it's any better than it used to be.

Looks like theres some kinda system where you can trade cryptic points in for some new dialithium currency they use for a lot of stuff now. So i was able to trade in the 500 they gave me for free to get the last ship upgrade.

I played an hour of it. It's awful. Both space and ground combat are laughable.

Did they ever make space combat fully 3D or is it still on an elevated plain? That was the worst, not being able to do loops or barrel rolls.
