What would you do?

You are a passenger in a car that gets rear ended. You are shaken up, but not injured. The driver goes to the hospital and is indicating that he is looking for a big pay off, since the driver of the car who hit them admitted to not paying attention.
That driver's insurance company contacts you, you tell them that you are not hurt, have not missed any work, yada, yada.
They offer you $1000.00 for your "inconvenience".
Do you take it or hold out for more?

Yep, the guy that this happened to is taking the $1000.00.
The driver he was with does not seem happy that he is taking it though. I think he is seeing big money, and Nick wanted nothing to do with a law suit.

Good for him, tell him to stay away from that other greedy self-centered guy, people like that are toxic and that incident is only one example of how ugly that guy can be..

I've been in one of these.
I took the money but now if I bend over too quickly I puke. Been that way since about 2 months after the accident.

He is getting a packet from the insurance company for the guy he was with in case he does need to go to the doctor at a later date.

What about the damage to the vehicle? $1000 might not cover the cost of repairs.
