Any class as long as you keep the dps/tank companion in good gear.

SWTOR is an easy mode solo rpg game from level 1 on up. You have to try and kill yourself. Play whatever style you like.

They are all good. A stealth class is convenient if you hate having to fight your way to and from a quest location. Other than that, they all turn out decent DPS and have decent survivability.

i've been having the most fun with the sith juggernaut, but the sniper is pretty cool too. like others have said all are pretty soloable, every class gets pets that complement their style before getting off of n00b world.

I haven't played any PvP, but, judging by the calls for nerfs in the forums, Sages/Sorcerers seem to be good PvP choices.

Sage/Sorc is very OP in pvp. The only reason they haven't been nerfed yet is because bioware doesn't give a damn about pvp.

Make a sage..go heals until you get Theran as a pet. Thats about mid-low 20's.

Go dps after that and pwn it up.

I went split spec so I could get both AE's and its really fun.

This was after leveling a trooper to 50..Sage is so much more fun.
