I asked him if he was going to steal it and he said no, but now I am not so sure. I am typing this now barricaded in my office installing my new safe.
I'll let you know if everything is there.

I don't invite anyone over that I would feel uncomfortable leaving anything out around.

Pretty much how I've always felt as well. Now I'm not so sure.

Why hide it? Whomever takes something expose themselves for a very cheap price.

On the bookshelf next to the computer, sits my hat. In the hat are my wallet, keys, knives, spare magazines (in carriers), phone, light, voice recorder, and whatever else is in my pockets or on my belt (except the pistol, still wearing that).
When company comes over I may flip the hat over so it sorta covers all that stuff, but I don't move it. It's still obviously a pile of pocket clutter.
I do go around the house and secure the other firearms.

Why, because I wear a hat?
I'm under cars all day, it keeps my hair less nasty.
