Sawstop - Making it safe to put your fingers into a table saw.

Machine detects conductive material touching the saw blade and stops in less than a thousandth of a second. It destroys the saw blade and stopping mechanism, but that is cheaper than reattachment surgery.
After testing it with a hot dog, the inventor uses his own finger to show the machine works.
There's someone who has a lot of faith in his invention.

Yeah, saw that years ago. I'd forgotten that it destroyed the saw.
Still worth it IMO.
