On a scale of 1-10 Groucho rated Democrats 11 points higher than Republicans. I personally would rate Republicans 1 point higher than Democrats.
Groucho considers himself only slightly left of moderate and considers me a RWN radical.

OK I'll seriously rate them. But to do so, I have to separate out fiscal/economic practice from social practice. I also have to go with "what the final caucus ends up doing", not subsets like the Blue Dog Dems or the Tea Party. I also don't go with what crap they're spewing... but what actually ends up PASSING or getting enacted via the executive.

Rep: 3
Tot: 5
Social
Dem: 4
Rep: 2
Tot: 6
So, no, I guess I cannot vote in Paul's world.

I'd say the fact that you see almost no difference between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party shows just how radical and out of step you are.
I don't consider myself slightly to the left of moderate. I'm a liberal. You are an ideologue. Ideologues see everything outside their own ideology as equally bad.
Just recently. Republicans have introduced a bill that will allow ANY employer to exclude contraceptive coverage. Democrats want to include contraceptive coverage in all health insurance. That is a significant difference. One of many.
