Uh-huh.
And what is the source of these numbers? Because, the countries showing at the top for 'actual hours worked per worker' are precisely the ones I would most suspect of fudging their numbers.

Well, let's see. First we have the fact that what qualifies as 'work' probably includes the hundreds of hours workers are standing around examining their navels on the clock, etc.
Then we have the whole 'productivity' question.
We could poke more, but, why bother? We know the reality, here.

Work figures can be misleading. I've heard that in Korea its considered improper for a worker to leave for the boss does, so the Koreans spend masses of time at the office. However, that doesn't necessarily translate into work, as these office workers will get their tasks done then goof off until the boss goes home.
