Dissing Whitney Houston has earned Los Angeles radio hosts John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou a week-and-a-half in the penalty box. KFI suspended the popular duo after they poked fun at Houston's drug problems. "At some point you're just sick of it all, and so is everybody else in the industry," they said. "It's like, 'Ah Jesus, here comes the crack ho again, what's she gonna do?'" John and Ken apologized for using "inappropriate language."
That's it?
I mean, literally 1/3 the people I know have used that exact phrase relating to either Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, or both.
Some of them Black.
Are we really now THIS pussified?

Well I use the OP as the low water mark on the trash tug boat that is our world.
So I'd just call them a bunch of rude mod and change the channel, or remove the programming.
Maybe get "outraged" enough to send an email. Or do kids twitter their complaints these days?

Whitney Houston is a sacred cow of the entertainment industry for a lot of reasons.
She could have been caught trying to assassinate the president and still would not have been vilified by the media.

The world needs more sirloin.
I've heard much, much worse about stars on the radio. I mean my god, has anyone watched the TV version of TMZ, which is now cited as THE celebrity news source? Those guys stand around and make THE MOST incredibly callous comments on a daily basis. And publish them.

Well I'm not saying that I agree with her (or anyone in the entertainment industry) being a sacred cow.
Further, no, I don't watch any of the sort of shows you spoke about there. In fact as I read your post it went like this in my head: "...has anyone watched the TV version of TMwhat the fk is that?Z words words words words words words words words. And publish them."
Basically I find all such entertainment driven programming with the possible exception of some shows about rock musicians intolerable.
