Why Conservatives hate Romney
It's because he's not a true conservative, really.
He's just mouthing the words. He speaks with no conviction and has flip-flopped more than most. He needs the fire in his belly that Gingrich has but he just does not have it.

Its true he is not a true conservative. He really is no better than Obama and nearly as liberal as Obama in many ways. He even did that same sort of lame healthcare system in his own state.

Why Conservatives hate Romney
It has nothing to do with his religion for most true conservatives. In fact Ron Paul is the most conservative and he gets a lot of Mormon support. But Romney isn't a conservative. In fact I doubt anyone could even name one policy that Romney has had that is different than Obamas.
