Went on an easy ten mile bike ride in the loop in the Marckworth State Forest near Duvall Yesterday. I was very surprised to find there was snow on the ground much of the ride with there being about a half inch of snow near the highest point of the ride. Felt great! I still feel its effects today.

Mormons promote mountain biking as a way to get closer to nature and God, to help one on their path to becoming a Christian. Good luck Bonk.

You dont need mountains to ride mountain bikes. Just find some interesting off road places to ride. I mostly just ride on logging roads because I'm a bit lazy. I still get to enjoy the beauty of nature.

I wish I couldnt stayed up there and read my book but my feet got really cold

Ya tons of fun places to ride that are flat. Check out your local listing of rail trails. They have some scenic ones all over the place that are gravel and go through some really scenic places

I dont like to ride on the paved bike paths near the city. You have to drive at least ten miles or more from teh city to get to good biking area.

I miss biking sometimes. Last time I went on one was with my dad when I was like 12 years old. We used to bike about 20 miles or so to coyote hills outside of fremont,ca and then back home. Once he died I never enjoyed doing it anymore.

That looks like the kind of trail I'm looking for. Most of the trails around here are single track. I did one two weeks ago that was considered a beginner trail and it kicked my bike's ass. Chain came off the sprocket. Lost the yellow reflectors off the pedals. I'm not a daredevil BMX wannabe. I don't want to ride over a ludicrous amount of tree roots around hairpin turns. I just want to ride my bike through some fucking woods. On a path that's at least 12 ft wide.

I found some off-road trails at a local park that are used mainly by park trucks. There are a few hiking trails that diverge off from it and I rode down one of them until I came to this:

I just laughed and turned around.
