I was wondering about this today too. If burning the Koran brought riots years ago when we first started the occupation, that's one thing. But after having been there for a decade, they can't accept it was an obvious accident, we should start withdrawing.
Illmyrin, what are your thoughts on the Tehran Playbill, where they got a guy on the inside to purposefully send the books to the incinerator? youtube video to follow, eventually.

karzais government will instantly fall when the US leaves. That government is as weak and corrupt as the one in Vietnam at the time of that horrible war. This war is no better and we were there longer. The only good thing is the body count from this war and the Iraq war is much, much, much less

We are in Afghanistan because we believe it is in OUR interest- not some humanitarian reason. Leave and let the Afghans do wtf they want. If they attack us then we decide what we want to do. Let's take care of the USA. We need lots right here.
