they just need to revamp UI, graphics, and the way
your toon moves to the todays standards, and I'd be back
Some incentive to get a lot of veterans back would be
nice, too

Add high res textures, rework the lighting system, slap a bunch of shaders on the game. Then finish revamping the UI, make the movement code more responsive and crisp (probably need to rework prediction too) and for Odin's sake fix how cumbersome ground target spells work.
There, DAoC 2!

You guys are right, this is one of the only games I can think of that got the formula for pvp right. they just need to reskin the game and it would be good to go, and we would have wonderful battles again.
i hate some of the dumbing down that has taken place since 2005-2006, these should be reversed.
Btw TOA was a fine expansion, better in many ways than SI. People who whine about it need to be more open to how that expansion improved the game.
That said OF should come back, being on a boat and sailing is pretty darn boring, and silly.

In a heartbeat. Hands down best game ever, even with it's flaws.

NO way, that part of my life is over, I will never play an MMO again at least not in the capacity I did when I played DAOC, I'd like to try GW2 but my PC is a pos and I am not buying a new one any time soon..

I'm not sure. I don't have the same amount of time to commit, to be really good. I'd be casual at best, nor would I be willing to pay for a bot account.
And the game just isn't as good as you remember. You forget about all those things that really pissed you off. For me it was the awful interrupt system, which was probably the single greatest flaw of the game.

Yes.
It's probably the only fantasy MMO I would sub to at this point. So, so, so tired of Elves and Magic.
