His complaint is correct; it's his answer that is utterly wrong. As a culture, we *do* have an incorrect view of guns. However, somehow trying to make guns "not cool" is just stupid and not going to work in the way he is describing.

Guns are here to stay. They are firmly part of our culture. What needs to be done is demystify guns. Kids should be exposed to guns and gun safety, and this exposure done in a controlled fashion, from a young age. We need to loosen all the absurd gun control laws and let adult non-felons with proper training carry in *all* states. Hell, we should encourage it.

People do need to shirk off their misconceptions about guns; but this should be done through *more* exposure, and exposure that's based on fact and responsibility, and not just more propaganda bullshit.

Completely agree and we should also apply the same rationale to drug use, demystify them and educate the hell out of of kids.


Oh and real world economics to. Problem with that, is that economic liberals might go extinct.
