WASHINGTON -- Sen. Dick Durbin is setting up a Judiciary Committee hearing about bounties in the NFL and other major sports in the wake of news that New Orleans Saints players received extra cash for hits that hurt particular opponents.

I actually didn't see that coming. Who knew, in a sport designed for the players to make maximum contact with each other, that people could get hurt. I, for one, am completely shocked that teams would come up with ways to reward their players for being competitive and throwing around their big hits in such a way as to damage the other team...

Hey congressmen only get paid a fraction of what celebrities do, and the acting is bad enough to be on par. They are actually an entertainment bargain for today's prices.
You can just see their hearing, with them getting all loud, angry, and indignant at a bunch of coaches and players, months after the NFL has already wrapped this up.
